ENGL 112 Week Four - Field Research plan

For my field research I plan on obtaining the number for the Dinosaur Museum out in Fruita and also the History Museum which I believe is out on Main Street or near there. Once I obtain these numbers I am going to call down there and ask to speak to the person whom knows most about dinosaurs. I am hoping to set up a time which each person and I will provide a list of question for each of them in hopes they both can answer my question. I have started to write up a few questions to ask but have not yet completed this. I am planning on meeting with them after finding and recording information from books and online this way I know a bit about the questions I have for them.

Week 3 Journal two

No one really suggested that I narrow my topic. They all said it was a good topic and the fact that I narrowed it down to extinction made it pretty slim. I am going to stick to my original idea and go from here. Thank you for the comments back!

I followed the steps in the week 3 folder and went to each site provided. A few sites led to different sites so I followed those links which in turn gave me a pretty good site called Britannica. It has a lot of information about dinosaurs and their extinction. It contained about 38 pages all on dinosaurs so I will probably be using that site for my internet resource. After bookmarking that site to del.icio.us I went back to the sites provided and continued to type in random keywords and phrases and bookmarked a few that I felt I could have some use from.

(1) 1. Could the extinction of dinasaurs also be due to all of the meat eating dinasaurs?
2. How can one be sure of the cause of extinction when humans didn't live at that time?
3. Should we continue to dig for more evidence?
4. What dinasaur went extinct first and which was the last to live?
5. When was the first fosil found?
6. Where were dinasaurs mostly located?
7. Who can really say what happened and how can they be sure?
8. Why did we begin digging for fosils?
9. Would we be able to figure out away to bring dinasaurs back?
10. How did dinasaurs become extinct?

(2)I believe that my last question asked (#10) best describes what I am doing my research paper on.

(3) Although research has been conducted for many years there are still questions to be answered about the extinction of dinasaurs and how it came about.

(4) I feel my research questions help me to find the information I need to write my research paper.
